FAQs
Do I need any pre-existing qualifications?
You will need to be qualified in Builder Gel to take our E-File Beginners Course.
Do I need HONA products to complete the course?
The E-File course has been designed around the HONA ProFile. If you book onto an in-person course, the kit is included as standard. If you choose the online course, we recommend using the HONA PROfile and drill bits.
However, for the case study, you may use your own E-File and drill bits, provided your E-File can reach at least 35RPM, and your drill bits are comparable to HONA's.
Are there differences between the in-person and online courses?
While our online courses offer flexibility, we always recommend attending an in-person course where possible. You'll benefit from hands-on practice, personalised feedback from your educator, and the chance to refine your technique in real time, helping you feel confident and prepared for your case studies and future clients.
Do I have to complete a case study?
You will need to complete a case study showing the HONA E-File process.
Please note, we recommend using the HONA PROfile and drill bits. For the purpose of the case study, you may use your own E-File and drill bits, provided your E-File can reach at least 35RPM, and your drill bits are comparable to HONA's.
Please also make sure your E-File demo is in clear view throughout the video; if the video is unclear or not close enough, you may be asked to submit a new video.
You must submit videos demonstrating the methods taught in the course. Your case study should include a full hand of E-File prep, one nail showing removal and one nail showing infill/refining methods. You can record either yourself or a model over the age of 16.
Your video will need to showcase hands before and after prep (close up).
